(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 40 regime forces from coastal Latakia province have been killed in the last four weeks, pro-regime activists and news feeds said.
Many of the slain soldiers were killed by Daesh and the US-led coalition airstrikes in eastern Syria and in southern Syrian as the regime's major offensive in southern Syria is still underway.
The death toll included 12 officers.
The Alawites-dominated areas and Bashar al-Assad’s heart land are still the main manpower supply for Bashar al-Assad's regime.
The mourning posters and statements have been sweeping the streets and social media pages.
More than 125,000 pro-regime forces have been killed in seven years of brutal war, according to local monitoring groups.
