(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime artillery on Saturday pounded opposition areas in coastal Latakia province and Jisr al-Shughour region near the Turkish border.
Two women and four children, mostly from the same family, were wounded due to heavy artillery to the towns of al-Najiyyah and Bdama.
Local activists said the regime had used White Phosphorus and incendiary shells that damaged the farmers’ crops and farms.
In their turn, rebels have killed two officers and destroyed a tank in the mountainous Jabal al-Akrad.
Rebels say the provocations of regime army have increased in the coastal region after the Turkish army set up its 12 observation points in areas overlooking on the Bashar al-Assad’s stronghold in Latakia.
