Lebanese Army arrests Syrian Defector Colonel near Arsal

Lebanese Army arrested Sunday Syrian defector colonel near the border town of Arsal in Beka’a province, Lebanese websites reported.

Dissident Colonel and Military council member of Syrian Revolution, Mahmoud Abbas, has been arrested by Lebanese army checkpoint  in Wadi Hamida near Arsal town.

No further information reported over the officer fate.

Activists said Abbas was the military commander of Qusayr, the city which had fallen by Assad's army and Iran-proxy Hezbollah militia June 2013.
