(Zaman Al Wasl)- A kidnapped field doctor in northwestern Syria has been freed after family paid $100,000 ransom, local sources said Sunday.
Dr. Khalil al-Agha, Head of Health Directorate in opposition-held areas in coastal region and one of the medics who joined the Syrian revolution. He gained reputation for his work in field hospitals.
Five days ago, an armed group kidnapped al-Agha fro a ransom from his hospital in the village of Kherbat al-Jouz at the Turkish border.
