SDF kills 4 Daesh members in Deir Ezzor

(Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 4 Daesh militants were killed on Monday in eastern Deir Ezzor province as clashes renewed with the US-backed forces, local activists said.

Daesh launched a surprise attack on bastions affiliated to the Syrian Democratic Forces north of Deir Ezzor province.

In its turn the SDF said 15 Daesh fighters had been killed by an improvised explosive device in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.

On Sunday, Daesh also has attacked the Kurdish-led forces in northeastern Hasaka province, killing five fighters and wounding 12, the jihadist group said in statement.

The attack took place near the town of al-Shaddadi, once key Dash stronghold in Hasaka province.

Five more members from the US-backed forces were killed and wounded by an improvised explosive device in eastern Raqqa province.

The IED hit the vehicle of the Syrian Democratic Forces in the city center.

Kurdish leaders and their supporters are desperate to salvage what they can of their painstakingly built institutions as the Assad's regime determined to reassert its authority over Kurdish-held territory, which forms the lion's share of the rest.
