(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian regime intelligence has arrested a former rebel commander who signed a recolcination deal with the Syrian regime in southern Daraa province two months ago, activists said Tuesday.
Ayham al-Jahmani was the commander of al-Mansour Brigade before laying down his arm and starting his own business in the town of Nawa.
The regime army defector has refused to leave Daraa to northern Idlib province along with hundreds of fellow Free Syrian Army fighters.
The Russian guarantees for rebel fighters have not prevented the Assad regime from persecuting and arresting them, local activists said.
