Tahrir al-Sham, National Front agree ceasefire after skirmishes

(Zaman Al Wasl)- The National Liberation Front (NLF) and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham jihadist group have reached a new agreement on Wednesday to end the infighting in northern Aleppo province after the clashes broke out for the second time in a week.

According to a ceasefire agreement brokered by Jaish al-Ezza, the key armed groups agreed to halt clashes where both parties will return to its bastions in the western countryside of Aleppo. 

The agreement also calls to the release of detainees from both sides.

Last week, two civilians were killed more wounded in the clashes.
 
Idlib and parts of northern Aleppo province have been a haven for tens of thousands of rebels and 3 mn civilians who were forced to abandon their homes in other parts of western Syria that the regime and its foreign military allies have recaptured from rebels.

Since the Syrian revolution erupted in 2011, more than 360,000 people have been killed, and more than 6 million people have been displaced.
