Anti-refugee activist and Assad supporter selected by EU as campaigner

(Zaman Al Wasl)- EU has chosen Deema Alam Farraj, a Jordanian social media activist who appeared in a video praising Bashar al-Assad, in its human campaigns, such a move contradicts the principles of the international organization.

A quick tour in Farraj’s official twitter account in order to know the reasons that pushed the EU to choose her as “a human rights façade”, confirmed the theory saying that social media are among the reasons of “trivia rising”, and this also falls within the scope of personal freedom to show liking or following which cannot be censured.

Farraj's tweets have a racist and anti-refugees character that should push EU to revise its choice.

If the organization did not have time to follow its account well, here we cite the racist phrases very far from human right. But if it is a matter of making fish of one and flesh of the other, we congratulate the organization with its Farraj.

Among Farraj’s posts after being selected by Human Rights Watch:

“The refugees in Za’atari (refugee camp) escaped from Syria because they could not open their mouth and they came in our country to show their bravery. They should have shown their bravery in their country, not to be active here.”

“What’s the matter with Sudanese refugees? As if they request to be treated like Syrian refugees. I thought that Syrian refugees don’t like their treatment. We are mixed up.”

“In addition to bearing the disgust of some Syrian refugees, we underwent a threat. It is obvious that both parties do not like us. God with you Jordan.”
