(Zaman Al Wasl)- The Lebanese Public Prosecution in Baalbek city has accused Zaman al-Wasl reporter of inciting sectarian strife, following his latest report over 20 Syrian refugee women who were aborted due to polluted water in Arsal refugee camps.
Abdul Hafiz al-Houlani will stand before the court on Thursday amid fears of arbitrary sentence.
The Lebanese State Intelligence in Hermel district has referred al-Houlani for the Public Prosecution after eight days of detention.
Al-Houlani, who lives in Arsal's refugee camps, has never been charged with a crime or offence.
Since the press freedom is fundamental to any democratic society, Zaman Al Wasl demands the Lebanese government to release al-Houlani and to not undermine freedom of speech under any pretext.
Zaman Al Wasl, also, calls on International rights groups to press on the Lebanese authorities to release our jailed journalist.
