The Islamic Front top commander and Islam Army Leader
has refuted a statement, attributed to IF, saying Islamist rebels will halt
fighting with al-Qaeda splinter group, the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant
(ISIL).
Zahran Alloush denied on his official twitter account
the authenticity of the statement, “its false statement, which is an attempt by
the Baghdadi gangs to enjoy their last days which are numbered,” he said.

ISIL, which is mainly composed of foreign fighters, is
widely considered the most radical of the groups fighting Bashar al-Assad, and
is also engaged in a violent struggle with rival Islamist rebels.
