Aleppo: Tahrir al-Sham, Nour al-Zinki fighting kills 10 civilians

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Heavy clashes reported Tuesday between Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and its former affiliate Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zinki west of Aleppo province, leaving ten civilians killed.

Former al-Qaeda branch has launched major attack on the stronghold of the Nour al-Din al-Zinki movement in Darret Azza town and arrested all fighters, local activists.

The fierce fighting is the second for Tahrir al-Sham in a month after a fight with National Liberation Front in Idlib province.

Tahrir al-Sham, which is the dominant force in northwestern Syria, and other hardline groups have refused to pull out their fighters from Idlib despite the de-militarized zone which was announced by rebel backer Ankara and Moscow in September to separate regime troops from rebel fighters in Idlib and adjacent areas.

Since the revolution erupted in 2011, more than 560,000 people have been killed, and more than 6 million people have been displaced.
