Activists
have circulated in the internet undated photo for militant posing to camera
with the flag of Amal Movement, fellow- Hezbollah militia, purporting it was
taken in Syria.
The photo is a new evidence for involving a
new Lebanese Shiite militia in fighting rebels besides Assad's troops and
Hezbollah and other Iraqi militias, the activists say.
The Shiite militia, which operates under control of Assad’s ally Nabih Berri, was behind shedding the blood of thousands of Palestinians during the well-known Camps War in Lebanon (1985-1988), “the turn comes to Syrians now,” cyber activist said.
The
Movement is a political party too associated with Lebanon's Shia community. It
was founded as the "Movement of the Dispossessed" in 1974.
More than
140,000 people have been killed in Syria's war, and millions more forced to
flee their homes.
