Commander of Fajer al-Sham movement, Islamist rebel group, called in an interview with Zaman Alwasl to establish a unified council for jihadist as he said that his movement had decided to stand on neutrality over the infighting between the State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and Islamist rebels.
The movement, recently, has gained much attention of public opinion and international media through its important operations in capturing many regime forces as well as breaking into a number of military areas, and finally arresting a spy network working for the regime through "two women" in Aleppo.
In order to know more about this movement, Zaman Alwasl has exclusively interviewed Abu Abdullah al-Shami, the movement’s Emire.
The movement is the third birth of Al Fajer Islamic Movement, and we aspire to be the core of fruitful Islamic project after defeating the enemy and establishing an Islamic state that rules people with Islamic shariah and justice, he said.
With Allah grace, and our brothers’ devotion, Al Mujaheeden in this movement proved their strength and efficiency on all fronts, and set an example of people who care for the nation’s interest because they are part of it and not all of it.
These Mujahdeen work truthfully to fulfill the experience of “Al Jihad al Shami”, which is the hope of all Muslims worldwide. He added Positive Neutrality is our position toward any fighting occurring within the movement, and thank God, that enabled us in more than one incident, to save Muslims blood from shedding and bridge the gaps that resulted from fighting and enforcing the fronts.
Al mujahdeen show steadiness and bravery that manifested in Aziza, Sheikh Saeed and Aleppo’s southern suburbs, and With Allah grace, they were able to cause significant losses of lives and ammunitions to Al Assad’s forces, Shabiha, and Hezbollah militias.
He said As for the formation of a "joint operations rooms in Aleppo, Abu Abdullah explained that the movement is not part of these rooms, confirming that they were formed without their knowledge.
However, he clarified, "We are cooperating on the ground and coordinating with all forces that sincerely fight Al Assad regime, especially in Aleppo and generally in Syria. In regard to society's perception towards migrants, after the clashes that occurred with ISIS, especially since the movement includes a number of them, said Abu Abdullah: “thank God, the immigrant issue went well because generally we work on dedicating the idea that fighting is not between immigrants and Ansar, and we succeeded in that.
There is no doubt that fighting between rebels and ISIS on many fronts left a significant impact on “jihad “Al sham in general and Aleppo in particular, and comes under a Western and Eastern conspiracy to overthrow al Jihad al-Shami which is the nation Jihad, and this is what made Aleppo and its fronts in a dangerous situation that required full alertness to back it with fighters and ammunitions. He explained.
The movement prince expressed his view of Al Julani speech regarding (ISIS) and (FSA General Staff) saying that it is not a legitimate interest to expand the circle of fighting between parties or regions because this would threaten Al Jihad al-Shami as a whole.
We should seek a comprehensive cease-fire and a just arbitration according to God’s Shariaa in everything that happened, and we clarified the fundamental solution in a voice recording by establishing al Shura Council for Mujahedeen al Sham which contains truthful groups and individuals in it and serves as a council to solve people problems and run the country.
The reasons behind the weakening of Aleppo fronts are due to several considerations, most notably is the lack of preparation and active soldiers on the fronts, human and ammunitions attrition, in addition to the phony eliminating “operating rooms” which did not serve the front in any way, and finally the lack of prioritization and good military administration.
He explained In response to our inquiry about “not joining any formation” Abu Abdullah said: The movement did not join any formation especially the Islamic Front which was established weeks ago nor Al Mujahdeen Army because we had two frontal experiences with the Islamic Front and an integration with Fajer Al Sham Islamic movement, and both failed for many reasons, most importantly due to administrative problems. In the end, we came to the conclusion that if we want to succeed in our experience, we should avoid the temporary media alignments and focus on the overall strategic and efficient ones, he concluded.
