Al Muheisini, prominent Saudi preacher backing rebels in Latakia battles


 The prominent Saudi Jihadist and preacher, Abdullah al-Muheisini  with other foreign jihadist are participating in Kasab battles near the coastal city of Latakia, Syrian activists say.

Al- muheisini, who posted online a photo for him with Islamist fighters near the border town of Kasab, 59 kilometers north of the pro-Assad city., where fierce clashes broke out four days ago.

In relevant development, activists quoted al-Muhaisini as saying that Ali al-Assad has been killed, to be the second cousin of Syria’s president killed in 24 hours after Helal al-Assad's killing.

Helal was the head of the National Defense Forces, a paramilitary force subordinate to the Syrian Army, which is believed to be modeled after Iran’s Basij militia, and trained by Iran.

Islam Army said in statement, obtained by Zaman Alwasl, that Assad’s cousin was killed by a Grad rocket in Latakia around 7:15 p.m. They claimed that Hillal was meeting with commanders in the home of Fawwaz Assad — the son of former president Hafez Assad’s brother.
