(Zaman Al Wasl)- Clashes erupted late on Saturday between powerful Tahrir al-Sham group and Daesh militants in the northern town of Bennish, leaving a child dead, sources told Zaman al-Wasl.
Abu al-Harreth, the security officer of Tahrir al-Sham, told Zaman al-Wasl the clashes erupted with members of Daesh (ISIS) who escaped from Idlib Central prison weeks ago.
The formerly known as Jabhat al-Nusra which the dominant force in Idlib province, has killed most of its opponents including citizen journalists and human rights advocates.
Tahrir al-Sham and other hardline groups have refused to pull out their fighters from Idlib despite the de-militarized zone which was announced by rebel backer Ankara and Moscow last September to separate regime troops from rebel fighters in Idlib and adjacent areas.
