13 regime officers from Latakia province killed in April

 (Zaman Al Wasl)- At least 20 troops from coastal Latakia province have been killed since first of April, pro-regime media activists said.

The death toll included 13 army officers.

The Alawites-dominated areas are still the main manpower supply for Bashar al-Assad's regime. 

More than 130,000 pro-regime forces have been killed in seven years of brutal war, according to local monitoring groups.

Since the Syrian revolution erupted in 2011, more than 560,000 people have been killed, and more than 6 million people have been displaced.
