Opposition government to pay $300 thousands as stipends for rebels


The opposition Interim Government decided in its weekly meeting to pay the salaries for Free Syrian Army fighters (FSA) in Aleppo and Idlib.

The financial receivables reached $300,000, $200 thousand would be allocated to fighters in Aleppo, and the rest for fighters in Idlib, besides allocating another $100 thousand to provide high training for military high ranks from rebels.

Paying salaries to fighters came among many decisions resulted from the weekly meeting of the Interim Government. The most important decision was distributing millions of dollars on several cities under the theme- “Supporting people’s resistance”

The Interim Government has decided to support people in the coastal region, Deir al-Zor, Homs, Damascus ad its countryside and Dara’a with an amount of $500 thousand each.

The Government decided to raise the fund for Mork area, the strategic point in Hama countryside, from $200 thousand to $500 thousand, as the fighting groups in the area managed to turn away many attacks of the regime’s army in their attempts to control it. It is reported that regime’s army lost in Mork battles more than any front, and some activists estimated that around 100 tanks were destroyed.

The Syrian Interim Government is an alternative Government for Syria which has been formed by the opposition umbrella group, the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces.
