Kurdish-led forces arrest two activists in Raqqa

(Zaman Al Wasl)- The US-backed Syrian forces have arrested two activists in eastern Raqqa city over terror claims, local journalist group said Saturday.

Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently said the Syrian Democratic Forces launched early this week an arrest campaign tracking local activists who oppose Bashar al-Assad's regime.

Activist Ahmed al-Hashoum was arrested on Saturday from his house in Raqqa city, the local monitor said.

The day before, activist Hassan Qassab Joma'a, medicine student, was arrested from his house in Tabqa city.

Since the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces took back the Arab-dominated Raqqa city from ISIS in October 2017, many abuses have been reported against civilians and local activists.
