Rebels blow up Tamico Complex near Damascus

Islamist rebels blew up Friday morning Tamico Complex, well-known Assad’s stronghold near Mleiha in the eastern districts of Syrian capital, activists reported.

The key Islamist rebel group, Islam Amy, backed by Shabab al-Huda rebel group have detonated the complex, no casualties reported.

‘Mujamma’ Tamico’ considered as a strategic engagement point for Assad’s forces and rebels, activists said.

Rebels of Eastern Ghouta are trying to defend the town of Mleiha against brutal shelling Assad’s forces and to break the seven-month, rebels say.

Assad's army backed by Hezbollah and Iraqi militias pressed a campaign to take control of the opposition-held town, which like much of the Eastern Ghouta area east of Damascus has been under army siege for nearly seven months.

Syria's three-year civil war has killed more than 150,000 people, a third of them civilians, and caused millions to flee.
