Assad's airstrike targets Aleppo Council meeting, kills one

Syria’s key opposition group the National Coalition condemned Monday the killing of Aleppo Council member and wounding 8 other members after targeting their meeting  in the town of Hureitan near Aleppo by regime's airstrike.

The coalition said that killing Mr. Ali Sweidan, head of the economic committee, is a coward act.

‘’We were lucky to held the meeting in a basement otherwise the casualties will be more,’’ Mr. Abdul Rahman Dadam, Hureitan Council chairman, said to Zaman Alwasl.

Syria's three-year civil war has killed more than 150,000 people, a third of them civilians, and caused millions to flee.
