Document: corrupt police officer fortune worth billion dollars

Only in Syrian Regime: a minor police officer owns 11 properties worth more than a Pillion Syrian Pounds.

A recent official document revealed the extent of corruption in the police system in Syrian regime, where it was know that a minor police officer owned 11 properties in affluent areas in Damascus and worth more a billion Syrian pounds.

The document which Zaman Alwasl obtained dated in August 2013, confirmed that officer Hosam Baqleh, a doctor of Medicine, owned 11 properties beside the flat was assigned to him from the police directory. 3 properties in Kafer souseh, 3 in Qanawat basatin, 3 in Qanawat Jadeh, and 2 in Mezzeh.

The scandal was discovered when the police officer did not use the flat assigned to him, which raised query about reasons behind that, and when query done in the property Registry office , it was found that mentioned officer owned 11 properties.

Many painful question raised now: where did that minor officer get all that money from to offer for the properties in that short time? And what will be done to him and his properties? Would a transparent investigation done in Syrian regime, or just things will get buried after sharing these properties with decision making people?
