An official leaked document revealed that regime’s interior ministry had resorted to the "requisition” of all licensed weapons in HassaKa city, and refused totally to renew any license to carry or possess a weapon.
The procedure seems to achieve two goals, first, to fill in the gap and shortfall in ministry’s stock of weapons, which was exposed in a series of official documents published by Zaman Alwasl, and second, to regain weapons from unreliable people to be redistributed again to loyal reliable ones.
The document No /4676 W/ has shown that the minister of interior has issued directives in this regard to Hassaka’s police and that 74 war pistols have been already regained in addition to 147 hunting rifles.
Dated June 7, 2013, the document suggested on the interior minister “Mohammed al-Shaar the formation of a technical committee that has the task of examining regained weapons, choosing the good ones for service and pricing them to pay their value to the owners through General Foreign Trade ORG “ Gota”.
In terms of unusable weapons, the document suggested to be submitted to “Gota” to conduct the necessary procedures, noting that the ministry doesn’t have the necessary facilities and workshops to repair these weapons.
