IED attack wounds four regime troops in Sweida

(Zaman Al Wasl)- Four regime troops were wounded Saturday by an improvised explosive device (IED) in southern Sweida province, leaving four troops wounded, local sources said.

The IED targeted a military bus in the countryside of the main stronghold of Druze community.

No rebel group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Sweida, home of about 700,000 people mostly from Druze minority, is currently in a state of chaos right under the nose of local factions and Assad forces deployed in all cities and towns of the province.

Residents of Sweida have voiced concerns of mounting cases of kidnappings by gangeserts, local news site reported.

Sweida 24 said 18 people were kidnapped in October by gangs for ransom from the Druze stronghold in southern Syria, such a high rate of violations over the past few months.
