Mass acts of robbery and looting by Assad's forces for Old City of Homs

Local activists assured to Zaman Alwasl mass acts of robbery and looting for the former rebel-held areas in Homs by Bashar al-Assad forces and its backed militias with participation of many Alawite civilians including women.

Many photos have been circulated on social media for unprecedented larceny acts have sparked outrage among Syrian people.

Last Friday, Assad’s forces surrounded the newly deserted neighborhoods by concrete barricades and sand blocs, after  1,200 rebels and residents in the Old City left Homs on buses in exchange for the release of dozens of captives held by rebels in the northern provinces of Aleppo and Latakia.
