Fatma needs treatment, hopes normal childhood

Fatma, a 11-year-old displaced girl hopes she can get treatment like every burned child in the war-torn country.

Fatma’s doctor Yusuf Sheikhouni says she needs facelifts for hands, eyes and ears as well as she needs a silicon mask and an artificial hair transplant.

Activists urge the international organisations to help Fatma who is a victim of the Syrian regime bombing.

The Syrian conflict has devastated the lives of a generation of young people. Many of Syria’s children have missed years of their education, with 2.1 million children in Syria currently out of school, according to Save The Children organisation.

After more than eight years of war, it’s more important than ever that we show the children of Syria they are not forgotten.
