(Zaman AlWasl)- Syrian director Orwah Al-Ahmad plans to start filming his new movie “Prada I the coming weeks.
The short film spotlights the stealing of civilians' homes and properties and the rampant looting that is still taking place in Syria, as well as the internal migration between cities, a result of the sense of impotence in the owners as they watch their stolen furniture and personal items with sentimental value being sold at cheaper prices.
Al-Ahmad said that the movie touches on the topic of stealing the homes of Syrians who escaped with their lives from the nightmare of war. According to the director, the writer addressed this phenomenon in an imaginative way that made him love it. The film tells the story of a shoe of the Italian brand Prada.
The shooting of the film starts early next year in the Netherlands and France, with the support of the European Union and the Search for Common Ground (SFCG).
