DAMASCUS (Zaman Alwasl Leaks) Zaman Alwasl continues to reveal more exclusive and private documents in regard to the dark world of “Lattakia’s shabiha” to complete what it has started in “Wednesday of Homs”.
This episode shows the contents of a new batch of documents, consisting of 8 official documents, and the publication of the original copies.
In the report of “fighters’ loss of guns” which was directed by the Commander of National Defense in Lattakia , that showed the extent of slackness and negligence and possibly corruption that surrounds the process of arming Lattakia’s shabiha and how 9 RPGs , 3 mortars, and 11 “ BKC” machine guns were lost , in a series of random receipt and delivery operations.
Hilal al-Assad, Bashar Al Assad’s cousin, was "The commander of the National Defense in Latakia" before he was killed on 22 March 2014, in the battle for a border crossing with Turkey in the north of Latakia by rebels.
The document reflects the vulgar trashy language used by “Hilal” when he addressed one of the most important representatives of the regime in the governorate, a brigade commander of the coastal region, who serves as the military governor for the entire provinces of Tartous and Latakia .
In a document dating back to 9/10/2013 , the shabiha’s commander talked about the circumstances of detaining two policemen , and then moved on to talk about the lieutenant " Imad Eddin Yousef " who stopped a Shabiha patrol during their regular mission.
Hilal claimed that the patrol which “ Yousef” has stopped , seized several cars smuggling petrol , but " Yousuf " refused to accept this story , saying : " This a lie, and you “ the National Defense forces “ are always behind the petrol theft and will be detained for that.
The commander explained how a verbal argument occurred between Al Shbiha and “Yousef” then escalated to a scuffle and a fist fight.
But the attention-getting thing, was the menacing tone used in the end of the document by Hilal Al Assad against the brigade commander of the coastal region, demanding from him to order not to stop any shabiha patrol “due to the damage it might cause to the public interest”, vowing: " In case of repetition and disrupt to our missions then we will act differently!.
At the end, a brief investigation report shed the light on the surroundings of Shabiha’s community revealing thefts, infringements, even among each other, such in the case of the shabih and thug “Samir Mahmoud Ramadan”, who had reported a theft of his military vest, 3 cartridges and 90 bullets.
Mahumed says that his shabih colleague “ Maher Dribati “ took his military vest and its contents under threat of death , and “ Dribati” justified the theft as a kind of compensation for his salary , which he hasn’t received yet from the Center of National defense , saying that he will not return the money back until he is gets his salary.
