YPG and ND militia engage in clashes in Hasaka

Tension renewed between YPG fighters –part of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party and the pro-regime National Defence mitlita as the two fighting sides engaged in clashes in the city of Hasaka yesterday.

The clashes resulted in the deaths of five ND militants causing multiple injuries among others. Additionally, YPG ranks also incurred four deaths, while a number of civlians were injured.

The battle erupted over a dispute between the two sides as ND miltia tired to erect a checkpoint at the Al Nisr square on the ouskirts of the Al Salihiya, Al Aziziya and Al Mufti neighborhoods which all host a majority of Kurds.
