Mujahedeen Army denies withdrawal from its basis in Aleppo

Translation by Yusra Ahmed

In a statement Zaman Alwasl exclusively obtained, a rebel leader in the joint room for Ahel Alsham, has requested forming a Shariah Court to investigate with the battalions within the room because of their big mistakes, failure, neglect and not working in cooperation with others.

Sergeant Ali Shakerdi, the Military leader of the Joint room has pointed in his statement that he would be the first to hand himself to the court and abide by its decision. He called as well for a quick evaluation for the recent faults and trying to fix them especially those reflected on Sheikh Najjar front, pointing to its importance and the consequences of its fall, as it would result in siege Aleppo and disconnecting it from the countryside.

In a relevant content, Yahya abo Rayyan, the media representative of Mujahedeen Army confirmed that statement came as a reply for an article Zaman Alwasl published yesterday titled “A military branch has withdrawn from its bases without cooperating with the Military headquarter in Aleppo”. That article mentioned that the Mujahedeen Army was the one which had done that withdrawal without coordinating with the Joint room of Ahel Alsham. Abo Rayyan has denied the news pointing out that all members of the Jihadists army were still in their positions and in the front lines.

Abo Rayyan expressed his surprise from accusing the Mujahedeen Army of withdrawal, while its leaders were gathering and moving their forces, and other battalions to Almasna’a front and the prison. He pointed that all gaps and mistakes those regime used to siege Aleppo, were resulted from faults of other Battalions, and he preferred not to name any of them to keep the morals of fighters on ground high.

Mujahedeen Arm was form in the beginning of this year and contained many Islamic Battalions from Aleppo and Idlib and their countryside, to fight ISIS. Nor Addin al-Zinki Battalion withdrew from it recently and “Islamic Safwa Battalion” joined, after withdrawing from Liwa Altawhid. Therefore, the Mujahedeen Army consists of: “Al-salam, Aleppo al-Shahba, the city of Aleppo, al-Islami, al-Haramin Soldiers, Islamic Noor Movement, Liwa al-Ansar, Amjad a-Islam”. The Army is led by Abo Baker, the leader of Liwa al-Islam.

Zaman Alwasl repeats its confirmation that it is for all Syrian and put the public interest first. It confirms it is not concerned on the fact that it is followed by the revolution supporters to know the highly armed battalions, as its priority is to work professionally, logically and independently. Zaman Alwasl has published the Jihadist Army’s reply without any comment taking in consideration the crucial situation in Aleppo.
