ALEPPO (Zaman Alwasl)- 25 people were killed when a barrel bomb hit Bostan al-Qasr neighborhood in Aleppo on Monday, destroying 2 buildings.
Activists said that that lack of equipments has delayed rescuing works as many victims, including families, still under rubble.
The main water pipe supplying neighborhood was damaged and lot of fire broke out as well, local residents said.
Bostan al-Qasr is considered the safest liberated neighborhood in Aleppo, as it has not been bombed heavily like other areas, because it is close to a pro-regime area, which increases the margins of mistakes when hitting with barrel bombs. For those reason, it became the shelter for most displaced people.
In relevant content, heavy clashes between rebels and the regime forces has been going on for 5 days in al-Breej and hailan at the Eastern front of Aleppo, after breaking the prison’s siege by the regime.
Zaman Alwasl correspondent reported that Albreej and Hailan were liberated once again after the regime controlled them before.
As mentioned before, the regime has transported prisoners from Aleppo Central prison to other place, but kept the political prisoners. Besides, the Military police were substitute by soldiers from the Syrian Army.
Many activists reported that withdrawal from the prison was a trap for the regime to let it move forward toward the prison and force it to empty it from prisoners, which make it easier for the rebels to destroy it as they had done with other building before.
Activists added that the prison’s front will witness big development later.
On field, the regime carried on bombing area under rebels’ control with barrel bombs like al-Shaar, Hanano neighborhood, Bab al-Nairab, Bostan al-Qasr and old Aleppo. No casualties were reported, except 10 martyrs were killed in Bostan al-Qasr.
In Aleppo countryside, the regime’s air forces bombed Hayyan and Hraitan, besides shelling many areas in the Northern countryside of Aleppo.
On the other hand, Mujahedeen Army reported killing 30 soldiers from the regime’s army in al-Aamiriya after clashes between the two sides. In the same time, members from ISIS attacked a barrier run by the regime forces in Khanaser, resulted in killing at least 10 soldiers and destroying many vehicles.
Liberated areas in Aleppo suffer from hard living conditions as a result of fear of siege, as prices have elevated sharply in Alshaar, Albab Road, al-Maiser and al-Jazmati. The densest areas are Bostan al-Qasr, al-Zebdiya and Salahuddin, because regime does not bomb them as they are close to pro-regime areas.
