(Zaman Alwasl)- Syria's opposition National Coalition has appointed Mrs. Hanan al-Balkhi as its envoy to Norway, well-informed source told Zaman Alwasl.
Al-Balkhi is a prominent female activist and an active member in key coalition group, National Council. She holds a Master of Humanities from Oslo University.
The west-backed coalition also has representatives in Brussels, London, Paris and Berlin, and very soon to have representative in the Croatian capital Zagreb.
In relevant development, Jordan’s king Abdullah II gave approval Monday for the opposition to open a formal mission in the kingdom after expelling Syria’s ambassador to Amman.
The Coalition has appointed Mr. Mohamed al-Merwih, 36 year-old, as its envoy to Amman in agreement with Jordanian authorities, source said.
