Syrian figures form new opposition group to mend rifts

(Zaman Alwasl)- Sources reported to Zaman Alwasl that many political figures inside Syria are about to announce the formation of a Political Rescue Movement aims to call for a National conference to regain the national decision away from exclusion and improvisation.

The source pointed out that the movement’s announcement resulted from efforts started after Cordoba’s conference 5 months ago, and included meetings and visits to Europe, Istanbul, Gaziantep and Cairo, led to exclude problematic figures especially those who called for Cordoba’s conference.

Politics who called for the movement justified their act by the serious situation Syria is going through these days, because of the international letting down, leaving the country and Syrian people alone facing the brutal regime and its allies.

The source mentioned that the mess and confusion the political opposition is going through and its improvised and exclusionary decisions were other reasons to establish the movement, aiming to identify the mistakes and benefit of them, besides expanding the range of the inside Syria opposition. The movement will call for a conference soon after announcing its establishment which is expected to happen within days.

According to the source, there is almost confirmed information that the movement would include well known opposition figures from different political divisions and figures from the political committee of the National Coalition.
