(Zaman Alwasl-Leaked documents)- Under the pretext of non-availability of suitable premises to be classrooms and despite the thousands of buildings related to the ministry which are distributed along the Syrian map, the ministry of interior apologized for its inability to provide any assistance in teaching Syrian pupils.
In this document, which is among thousands of exclusive documents obtained by Zaman Alwasl and go back to last year, the minister of interior “Mohammad Al Sha’ar” was informed that police headquarters in the Syrian governorates have notified the ministry of the lack of buildings or facilities suitable to be classrooms.
Pursuant to a letter from the Prime Minister (Wael Al Halqi) in which he requested a list of the buildings related to the ministry of interior in all governorates which can be turned into classrooms.
The noticeable thing in the matter is that the” Civil Affairs” the department that runs personal records and status (Al Nofous), also apologized, clarifying that no buildings are available, despite its innumerable headquarters among the Syrian cities and towns.
In its war against the Syrian people, the regime of Bashar Al Assad destroyed the equivalent of 3878 schools, according to the latest reports of “The Syrian Network of Human Rights” (SNHR).
Schools were not safe from regime’s bombing and its air force strikes which caused several massacres; the most recent was in the school of Ein Jalout in which 20 children were killed, on April 30th 2014 when regime's war planes dropped a bomb on their school in Aleppo.
This crime is the latest but not the last in a long string of regime’s attacks that hit schools and kill students.
