(Zaman Al Wasl)- Two regime army officers were killed in double rebel attack in the town of Nawa in southern Daraa province, pro-regime activists said Saturday.
A series of snap attacks has been carried out by the opposition armed groups against regime army and allied militants after calm for two years followed a Russian-brokered reconciliation deal.
Rebels and jihadists have killed more than 135,000 pro-regime forces since the armed conflict erupted eight years ago with the brutal repression of protests against the Assad regime, according to local monitoring groups.
The conflict in Syria has also killed more than 560,000 people and displaced 6.5 millions.
