Syrian authorities at Damascus International Airport are taking preventive measures to confront a possible spread of the coronavirus.
The Syrian ministries of transport and health are disinfecting arriving and departing planes as well as disinfecting gates and taking passengers' temperatures.
Syrian Health Minister, Nizar Yazaji, said no confirmed coronavirus infections have been registered in Syria yet.
Syria also says it has taken preventive measures at all ports and border crossings.
It has suspended travel with neighbouring countries Iraq and Jordan, and halted religious tourism for a month.
