Syrian psychiatrist died from COVID-19 in Italy: relatives

(Zaman Al Wasl)- A 32-year-old Syrian psychiatrist died from COVID-19 on Friday in Italy, relatives said.

Dr. Eyad al-Deqer was tested positive for coronavirus shortly two weeks ago before his death on Friday in the Italian city of Piacenza, south of Milan city.

Italy’s death toll from the coronavirus outbreak rose to 12384 on Sunday. 

Nearly 680,000 people have now been confirmed with the coronavirus globally, and while at least 164,000 people have recovered from COVID-19, more than 31,900 have died, according to data from World Meters.
