(Zaman Al Wasl)- A senior commander in Hezbollah militia was stabbed and gunned to death in southern Lebanon, the National News Agency reported Sunday, saying a suspect ha been arrested.
Younis was found dead in his car on the road connecting the towns of Qaaqaaiyet El Jisr and Zawtar El Gharbiyeh.
According to Sputnik, Younis was a "close associate" of former IGRC Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani.
Younis was responsible for the tracking down enemy agents and spies, unofficial sources told Saudi daily Asharq Al- Wsat.
Hezbollah's head Hassan Nasrallah is expected to speak at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Last year, former top Hezbollah official Ali Hatoum was found shot dead in his home near Bourj Al-Barajneh, near south Beirut, according to NNA.
