(Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian air defense systems have intercepted an overnight Israeli missile attack near Damascus, state-run news agency said Monday.
The pre-dawn attack was carried out from the Lebanese airspace, targeting several Iranian bastions near the capital, local activists said.
The Syrian regime has claimed that its air defense systems had confronted the Israeli aggression.
Activists said three civilians were killed.
Israel's officilais have vowed to end the presence of Iranian forces and its allied militias.
In five years, Israel has carried out more than 300 airstrikes against Syrian military airports and Iranian training camps.
