(Zaman Alwasl)- Main rebel group in Syria’s Eastern Ghouta warned in statement issued Tuesday of the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS).
The Islamic Union of Levant Soldiers (dubbed: Ajnad al-Sham) urged all Islamist rebel factions in the embattled suburbs of Damascus to confront the fanatic ‘Takfirists’, who support the regime [Bashar al-Assad].
Ajnad al-Sham highlighted the same concerns were raised by Nusra Front about the suspicious role of ISIS in rebel-held Ghouta as killing activists and rebel commanders.
For months, Assad’s forces backed by the Lebanese Shia group, Hezbollah has been battling to recapture Eastern Ghouta towns which have been under siege for more than a year.
