Zaman Alwasl obtained a report from a trusted source about the on-ground situation in Aleppo and its countryside. The report named that groups fighting in Aleppo and mentioned Nusra Front, Tobah Brigade, a part of the Islamic Front, al-Badiyah Martyrs, besides Ibn Taimiyah battalion, Ali’s Battalions and al-Mujahedeen Army.
The report revealed that main tasks for these groups are controlling as much military points as possible, installing traps and barriers, and hitting the 12 estimated logistic points. Around 500 fighters work to achieve those tasks.
The report revealed the scale of sacrifices the fighters gave, as they had walked for 9 kilometer in mountains, however, the regime and Iranian fighters put mines in the area, which caused many injuries and amputations besides 6 deaths.
The report mentioned that Iranian Forces have established the first training centre in the Southern Countryside of Aleppo, as they trained Shabiha, members of the National Defense Army and volunteers from pro-regime villages. They are trained in some far villages like Om Miyan, Mrej Aljamlan and Albisharah. 500 is the estimated number of Iranian accommodated in the training centre.
Iranians supervised the school directly, while Iraqi militia look after the Military Academy known as “Assad Academy” in al-Hamidiyah, the report detailed.
The report revealed that around 1000 fighters from Iran, Iraq and Lebanon were in Abo al-Dhohor airport according to information from a defected soldier.
The report detailed a meeting between the Ministry of Defense, a well know figure in Al-Hadideen Tribe, and Khalid al-Dhaher who receives orders directly from Maher al-Assad and the founder of the sleeping cells in southern Countryside of Aleppo and Idlib, with Iranian experts and leaders and the manager of Abo al-Dhohor airport.
The aim of the meeting was to discuss plans to break siege around Wadi al-Daif via al-Hadideen’s villages, besides breaking siege around Abo al-Dhohor airport.
In regard to the field situation, the report mentioned that situation inside Aleppo still the same, with increasing number of the fighters in the opposition’s areas like al-Ramosah, old Aleppo, and Sheikh Najjar.
The report mentioned that the number of displaced people who were targeted by explosive barrels has increased in the centre of Aleppo in areas like Bostan al-Qasr, al-Kallaseh and al-Maa’adi.
The reported notified that members of regime’s intelligence entered the opposition’s areas under cover, like helping widows, orphans and Martyrs’ families, while in reality they entered to give fund and support their informers in Bostan al-Qasr, al-Mash-had and al-Fardoos.
