Syrian doctor Razan Mahmoud dies of coronavirus in Yemen

  (Zaman Al Wasl)- Syrian doctor Razan Anwar Mahmoud has died after contracting coronavirus in Yemen, her father said Thursday.

Dr. Mahmoud, who is originally from Deir Ezzor, was an obstetrician-gynecologist receiving her degree from the Faculty of Human Medicine at Damascus University. According to medical sources, she died in Kara hospital in Marib governorate days after her infection with the virus.

According to Yemen Today, so far the number of cases of Coronavirus in Marib reached 15, with six deaths, seven quarantined, and two recovered, raising the total number of infections to 632 cases across Yemen, with 139 deaths, which, according to a number of news networks, could exceeds its wartime fatalities considering its collapsed healthcare system.
