Yarmouk brigade commander Kidnapped near Jordan border

Translation by Dani Murad

The leadership of “Yarmouk” Brigade has confirmed the kidnapping of Moussa al-Zoubi, the Chief of Staff of al Yarmouk Brigade in “Nasib” town, located on the Jordanian and Syrian borders.

al Yarmouk , which is one of the largest Free Syrian Army formations in the province of Daraa, did not name the kidnappers, and only described the abductors as “strife’s faction”, revealing some details of the kidnapping in a statement, as follows:

“With Allah blessings, Yarmouk brigade has drawn the revolution’s ethics with its martyrs’ blood, having role model soldiers who fear no accusations since their deeds are righteous. Those fighters have withstood the winds of strife and risen above people’s criticism, because they only devoted themselves to Allah”.

And the statement continued to say: “The staff brigadier, Moussa al-Zoubi has been kidnapped today afternoon, in the town of Nasaib and was taken to unknown destination by one of the factions who used masked gunmen not much different from any thieves or highway robbers.

Therefore, we, the Yarmouk Brigade demands the immediate release of the abductee without any pre-conditions, and swear to Almighty Allah, Lord of the Great Throne, that we won’t let them get away with their crime, since they continually sow discord and division among brothers.

Moussa al-Zoubi is one of the honorable free officers who consistently worked on uniting and upgrading the military action; he has no rivals and bears no hatred toward anyone, and was working on an operation room to protect Horan’s people from any harm or destruction.

Whoever behind this crime, has no intention but to spread dissension and hatred among us, with no regard to people’s blood or God's Sharia, and therefore we repeatedly confirm that we won’t be silent or give up our right until we bring the abductors to accountability, and may Allah be our witness”.
