The Kurdish self-administration on Thursday has recorded four coronavirus cases in northern Hasaka province, local official said.
During a press conference in Qamishli city, co-hair of the Kurdish health board, Jwan Mustafa, confirmed that 3 women from Qamishli and a young man from Hasaka have tested positive for COVID-19.
On Tuesday, the Kurdish Democratic Union Party put suspected corona cases under quarantine in Qamishli.
Since last April, two cases have been confirmed, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the region to six, one of whom had died in Hasakah.
The regime’s Ministry of Health announced 23 new cases on Thursday. The total number of recorded cases reached 584 in regime-controlled areas with 174 recovered and 35 dead.
