Syria's Health Ministry on Monday has recorded 24 new coronavirus cases in regime-held areas.
The total number of coronavirus cases registered in Syria has reached 674, of which 210 people have recovered and 40 people have died, according to the ministry's statement.
The Health Ministry has warned of a rapid spread for COVID-19 in the war-torn country.
The first case of coronavirus in Syria was registered on Mar 22, 2020, for a person who had come from abroad, while the first death was registered on Mar. 29, 2020.
