An intelligence source close to the rebels has informed Zaman Alwasl that the Lebanese authorities arrested on 27/8/2014, an intelligence cell of 4 Syrians affiliated with the Syrian opposition.

The arrested group was on a mission to spy and monitor Hezbollah-held-areas to shell these places later, and they managed to gain crucial information that confused Hezbollah for a while, and according to the source the detainees are: Mohammed Jamal Ismail, the leader of the group, Jamal Mustafa Ismail, Ammar Jamal Ismail, and Hashim Ismail Aljaa, and all of them are from Homs’s western countryside.

Moreover, the source also confirmed that the four had confessed of shelling the southern suburbs of Beirut, and are now jailed in Romia prison, under great fear of handing them over to the regime of Bashar al-Assad.

And an informed source of the general situation of the case, has informed Zaman Alwasl that the young men were persuaded to carry out this operation by some opposition figures, whose names will be reveled later, and that after the arrest, they were given a cold shoulder and no one from the opposition has responded to any plea regarding them. Noting that they can be included in prisoners exchange or a financial deal, and people who sent them, are fully aware of that.

The young men whose motives were to defend Syria and teach Hezbollah a lesson in his bastion, received more than 20 Grad rockets, that were fired them at 8 strongholds of Hezbollah, and were arrested later red-handed in one of these operation.
