Two regime forces, including an officer, were killed Wednesday when unknown rebel group stormed a checkpoint for the regime army in the northwestern Hama city.
According to Zaman al-Wasl reporter, the attack had targeted the notorious Military Intelligence checkpoint in the neighborhood of al-Mala'b south of Hama city
More than 220,000 regime forces have been killed since the armed conflict erupted nine years ago.
The conflict in Syria has also killed more than 500,000 people and displaced 13.2 millions.
