Unknown assailants killed former media activist Rami al-Khatib in Daraa city Tuesday evening, such an attack follows state security chaos in the southern province over the past few months.
According to local activists, the gunmen had opened fire on al-Khatib in the Tariq la-Sad neighborhood.
The reason behind his assassination is still unknown.
Since 2019, about 400 assassination attempts recorded across Daraa province, local monitoring groups said.
