Syrian regime reports 65 new COVID-19 cases, 2,628 in total

A total of 65 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in government-controlled areas in Syria on Saturday, the health ministry said in a statement.

With the new cases, the tally of coronavirus infections has risen to 2,628 in Syria's government-controlled areas since March, including 599 recoveries and 106 deaths.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said 71 COVID-19 cases have been reported in rebel-held areas in northern and northwestern Syria since July.

The Kurdish Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria placed the number of COVID-19 cases in areas controlled by the Kurdish forces in northern and northeastern Syria at 527, including 34 deaths and 88 recoveries. Enditem
