Ahrar Al Sham, Hazm reach settlement over Bab Al Hawa crossing

(Translation by Yusra Ahmed)

Ahrar al-Sham and Hazm Movements, the two conflicting sides at Bab al-Hawa, have agreed to end the conflict between them by seeking judgment from the Sharia committee to decide, and if the conflict has not resolved, the agreement would be cancelled.

A well-informed source rtold Zaman Alwasl that conflict has erupted when Ahrar al-Sham refused letting Hazm to install a barrier inside Bab al-Hawa border crossing, which led to fighting resulted in many killed and injuries from both sides, however, our source confirms that dozens injuries happened.

Dana revolutionary court judgment came in favour of Hazm movement, because it has many members from Farouq Alshamal battalions, which have the main effect in releasing the crossing board point from the Syrian regime.

Zaman Alwasl reported that many barriers for Hazm were installed near al-Dana village next to Bab al-Hawa, and tension between the two sides where each one tried to show off their power. Many members from both sides were arrested.

Moreover, according to our sources, the Turkish government closed the barrier for two days because of the conflict, and then opened it for both directions.

Many think that reasons for the conflict were because Ahrar al-Sham refused to abide by the decision to allow a civil authority to control the crossing point instead of military one, as was agreed between six battalions controlling it. However nothing happened till now.
