The Syrian regime has recorded four new cases of the novel coronavirus in a school in the southern province of Sweida.
The regime’s Health Directorate in Sweida confirmed in a post on its Facebook page the four infected tenth grade students from Kamal Obaid high school after coming in contact with a previous case who went in quarantine a few days ago.
The communicable disease detection team visited the school, with a School Health Department team, to test the four suspected cases who came in contact with the infected student. The directorate closed the classroom for five more days, calling for complying with the preventive measures, disinfecting and personal and general hygiene.
The classroom was previously closed for five days after recording the previous infection of one of the students from the same class.
Syrian cities and towns are witnessing a significant increase in new case of Covid-19, while the Assad regime continues to cover up the real number of the infected since the start of the pandemic.
